West Hamwere very poor away to Swansea last week and poor defending cost them dearly. The team was set up defensively with Tompkins deployed in a holding midfield role. It also looks like they have been given too much credit for their opening day win over Villa as the latter have continued to show poor form. West Ham will be looking to get the majority of their points from home games this season.
Fulham have started the season well, they had a tough game last week against Man United but they played some good football and could have nicked a draw. They have lost Moussa Dembele since that game with him being sold to Tottenham and Clint Dempsey continues to be absent from the squad. Dembele is a big loss as he gave them a physical presence in midfield. On a positive note, it looks like Dimitar Berbatov is on his way to Craven Cottage to be re-united with his former manager at Tottenham. Jol got some of the best football from Berbatov when at White Hart Lane and his signing will be a major boost for Fulham.
I can’t see how West Ham are going to be good enough to win this game against Fulham. Allardyce has a very predictable style of football which Fulham should be able to counter. However the Hammers do have a very good record in this fixture so that makes it a game to best avoid. If you must have a bet, go for Under 2.5 and the Draw.
