Another goal feast for City & QPR

The Saturday evening game in the Premier League should be one that produces lots of goals between Man City and QPR. This fixture last season went down in history as City came from behind to win 3-2 in injury time on the final day of the season and secure the Premier League title.

Tevez is in good goal scoring form for City.

City are strong favourites to win again and can be backed at a best priced 2/9 with QPR available at 14/1 in the betting. Roberto Mancini’s side possess an excellent home Premier League record at the Etihad Stadium unbeaten in the last 30 games in which they have won 28 times.

That statistic indicates how tough this game will be for QPR and it’s hard to see how they will take anything from this game especially with all the new arrivals at the club. Mark Hughes has signed 12 players in the transfer window and all of them have the quality to make the starting eleven.

Inevitably it will take time for these players to be integrated so it’s hard to estimate their impact on this game. They should be capable of creating chances against a City defence that has looked vulnerable in their opening two games of the season conceding four goals.

Last Sunday, City were lucky to come away from Anfield with a point after a mistake from Liverpool’s Skrtel cost the home side the win. They missed Aguero in that game and he will be missing again for this one but Carlos Tevez looks to be back to his best and that is a huge bonus for City. He has scored two in two games and is now one of the first names on the team sheet especially with doubts about the form of Balotelli and Dzeko.

This is a game which looks to be set up for goals and Over 3.5 at 21/20 is probably the best bet alongside Carlos Tevez at 9/10 to score anytime.

Recommendation

Over 3.5 goals @ 21/20, 2 points

Carlos Tevez – anytime goalscorer @ 9/10, 2 points

Premier League Profit/Loss to date: -4.2 points
