Our best bets from the Football League on Saturday.
Birmingham to beat Wolves at 13/8
Prior to last Saturday’s away loss to Hull, Birmingham had won four straight in the Championship and will be keen to bounce back to winning form in what’s only their second home game since Sept 26th. They are solid defensively and should be able to get a win against a Wolves side who lost their last three games, conceding 9 goals.
Sheffield Wednesday to beat Nottingham Forest at 21/20
Sheffield Wednesday will be buoyed by their midweek heroics over Arsenal in the Capital One Cup which came on the back of a seven game unbeaten run in the Championship. In contrast, Forest haven’t won in six games and have managed only two clean sheets in their 13 games this season.
Gillingham Draw No Bet over Walsall at 7/4
Clash of the top two in League 1, Gillingham are unbeaten in their last six league games and have scored 15 goals during that run. Walsall are also on a good run but conceded four last week away to bottom half Colchester. They’ve only two clean sheets in their seven homes games this season and may find it tough to contain the league leasers.
