The PGA Tour moves to Florida for the Honda Classic and our Golf expert has two bets for the event.
The Honda Classic launches the Florida Swing on the Champion Course at PGA National in Palm Beach Gardens.
Rory McIlroy is a worthy 13/2 fav given his recent record at this event – won in 2012 and lost in a playoff in 2014. This is McIlroy’s second start in a run of six tournaments in seven weeks leading to the Masters Tournament and apart from his Sunday 75 at Riviera his game looks in good shape. The Northern Irishman has also made the Palm Beach area his US home so that is sure to give him an added incentive this weekend.
Phil Mickelson is, a live outsider at odds of 22/1, back for a third consecutive visit, trying to keep building on a trio of top-11 finishes in his past four outings. Phil took last week off after his runner-up at Pebble Beach and looks a good e/w bet with Paddy Power who are paying the first 7 places.
£30 Rory McIlroy at 13/2 (Stan James)
£10 e/w Phil Mickelson at 22/1 (Paddy Power)
