Ray Flanagan with Leopardstown selections
Leopardstown 7.00- Queluz
Queluz, the mount of Gary Halpin (pictured) ran a nice race behind Dance Alone at Leopardstown in June and was not disgrace on two outings since with his Naas third to Night Of Power at Naas a particularly fair effort. John Geoghegan has freshened the horse up with a break since that run and reaches for the headgear this evening. It might prove a winning move.
It can be very hard to place much faith in horses returning from a lengthy absence (unless trained by Willie Mullins/ Gordon Elliot etc) and the Tony Martin stable is not exactly banging them in at present. Nonetheless Landsman competed well in some much stronger contests last season, including the Petingo handicap at Leopardstown. Could have too much for this field if 90% fit.
