One for the Harvest at Leopardstown

Ray Flanagan with Leopardstown Sunday selection

thought for the day: We will not find until the second golf major of the season, the USPGA Championship.

Cape Byron (11-1) was a winner yesterday.

A pair of selections for an interest in the 12 furlong handicap this Sunday.

Leopardstown 4.35 – Harvest Bow and Conor Hogan

Harvest Bow looks the value call in an open handicap. Noel Meade’s contender shaped like as a stayer in the making as a juvenile running placed in competitive nursery handicaps at Leopardstown and Galway respectively. Pleasing seasonal return at Cork recently and could build on that today. Chris Hayes should be able to gain a nice mid division position close to the rail from a low draw and promises to be suited by the step up in trip.

Conor Hogan has not fared as well with the draw but could still have a chance if granted a patient ride. Stayed on nicely in the closing stages last time and pedigree suggests twelve furlongs will suit.
