Hoping to find the right Approach at Roscommon

Ray Flanagan with Roscommon selections

thought for the day: Roscommon is one of the fairest punter friendly racecourses in Ireland.

This evening ‘s Roscommon selections are big prices but hopefully that does not mean they are no hopers.

Roscommon 6.25-Make A Story

First time handicap entrant who could be better than an opening mark of 47. Travelled sweetly off the pace in most recent race- a Limerick maiden won by Jassaar- and interesting to see if she can do better this evening.

Roscommon 7.55- Divine Approach

Won in a hack canter at Navan last autumn but predictably the handicapper took dim view. Possible that the horse is not able for revised mark but should be fitter following two outings this season and today is the day to see can she cut the mustard this season.

Roscommon 8.25-Red Gerry and Scotts Honor

Red Gerry split Blenheim Palace and Kings Vow last time-nothing more needs to be said.

Scotts Honor is an interesting dark horse. He has a fine middle distance pedigree and promises to be suited by stepping up in trip. Gained course experience when sixth to Kestral Pronce here last August and fair seasonal debut at Keopardstown in April when staying on seventh behind I am Superman over 7 furlongs.
