Meade for the money at The Curragh

Ray Flanagan with Curragh Sunday selections

thought for the day: “I am in a rich vein of form with horse racing at present”

A strong Noel Meade influence on today’s selections

Curragh 5.15- Sheisdiesel

Ran a nice race over the course and distance last season when runner-up to Insignia Of Rank in what was a much stronger handicap than this one. Caught the eye on recent reappearance in the Ragusa at The Curragh and quite interesting here with Colin Keane booked.

Curragh 5.45- De Name Escapes Me and Legal Spin

Any more rainfall will be welcome and a deluge will be music to the ears of this proven national hunt horse De Name Escapes Me. Nothing wrong with his flat form either having been second to Trossachs in the Apprentices Derby twelve months ago. Seven pound claimer Joey “Lethal” Sheridan has been making hay in these types of handicaps and could be another winner for him here.

I will also have a small flyer on Legal Spin who I believe is more capable than what he showed for much of 2019. Arguably ran his best race first time up last season and bearing that in mind is not discounted today.
