Bets of the Weekend – April 25th/26th

Our bets of the weekend column bring you the best tips from a number of well-informed connections associated with BetPreviews.

Max Daly: Box Office to win the 4.25 Sandown Park @ 7/2; A.P. McCoy can end his stellar career with a winner in the bet365 Handicap Hurdle over 2m 4f. The selection has 3 respectable runs under his belt, including a 7th place in the Fred Winter. The step up in trip looks to be the key and can bring about the necessary improvement for a memorable victory.

Thomas Henry: Premier League – QPR v West Ham; QPR @ 11/8; West Ham look a shadow of the side that made such a fine start to the campaign and they look opposable at Loftus Road. QPR have rallied recently and were desperately unlucky to concede a late winner against Chelsea. The hosts’ greater need for the points could help push them over the line.

Johnny England: Premier League – Southampton v Tottenham; Southampton @ 11/10; Tottenham’s top-four hopes have taken some heavy knocks in recent weeks and they could be buried by a defeat at St Mary’s. Spurs have taken just one point from five games away at top-seven teams and may struggle against a slick Saints side searching for a fourth successive home victory.

Ben Clark: Championship – Brighton v Watford; Watford @ 10/11; Brighton have conceded more goals than they’ve scored at the Falmer Stadium and have lost four of their last five in the Championship so this should be a great chance for promotion-chasing Watford to take three vital points. The Hornets have won four on the spin and kept three clean sheets in the process.

Felix Hassler: La Liga – Sociedad v Villarreal; Sociedad @ 9/5; Villarreal have had a miserable time since the start of March – crashing out of the Copa del Rey and the Europa League – and head to Sociedad with hopes of a top-four finish in tatters. The Yellow Submarines have taken four points from their last six games and face defeat against a Sociedad side unbeaten in six home games.
