Bets of the Weekend – May 9th/10th

Our bets of the weekend column bring you the best tips from a number of well-informed connections associated with BetPreviews.

Max Daly: Zarwaan to win the 3.45 Ascot Saturday @ 12/1; Zarwaan is fancied to take the totescoop6 Victoria Cup. Ed Dunlop’s charge ran a nice pipe-opener in the Lincoln and can improve for that run and the drop back to 7 furlongs.

Thomas Henry: Premier League – Hull v Burnley; Hull @ 19/20; Hull have suffered four defeats in a row, all without finding the net, leave their survival hopes in tatters and they are unlikely to get any favours from a Hull side inching to safety.

Johnny England: League 1 – Preston v Chesterfield; Preston @ 17/20; Chesterfield were unfortunate to lose 1-0 in their playoff semi-final first leg against Preston but they are likely to find life difficult at fortress Deepdale in the return. North End were strong at home in the regular season and should complete the job in style.

Ben Clark: Premier League – Chelsea v Liverpool; Chelsea @ 11/10; Professional pride will ensure Jose Mourinho’s men will want to sign off in style and there’s more than enough needle between the teams to ensure that champions Chelsea will strive to chalk up a fourth-successive Premier League win over Brendan Rodgers’ shaky Liverpool outfit.

Felix Hassler: Serie A – Lazio v Inter; Lazio @ 4/5; Lazio’s only defeat in 12 games came against champions Juventus and they should continue their fine form against Inter. Lazio average more than two goals per game at home in the league and may well have too much firepower for an Inter side who have struggled away from home against the top teams.

Peter Teazle: Aetna to win the Haydock 2.50 Saturday @ 3/1; Aetna is rated 104, but in heavy conditions, she may well be capable of running to quite a bit higher than this. Despite being wrong at the weights, we would have had her favourite for this contest and she merits a strong bet at 3/1.
