Our tennis betting tipster is hoping one of the sport’s old stagers can come through today in Munich.
It was a good start to the week with Sergiy Stakhovsky able to get us going with a three set win.
MARTIN KLIZAN v MIKHAIL YOUZHNY
This is a match where the bookmakers are really struggling to find an outright consensus on the price, and hopefully here value lies.
Klizan is a talented but occasionally volatile player who’s come through qualifying here, and who was given the perfect opening round draw against Dudi Sela, a player who essentially doesn’t do clay. The Slovak’s best tends to come on the red dust, but he is temperamental, and has already managed to vault between the world’s top 30 and top 100 in no time at all.
Youzhny has had a viral problem this year which might have taken more out of him than first appears, and he was beaten by Robin Haase in the first round last week in Budapest, but his ability is unquestioned and he is certainly capable of playing well enough to at least unsettle an opponent who is fragile.
This is a small stakes investment, but bet365 have priced up the Russian at odds to tempting to miss.
